Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) has issued fortnightly figures of domestic cotton production. Accordingly, all countrywide ginning factories have so far received seed-cotton (phutti) equivalent to 8,519,075 cotton bales up to 15th November, 2012, that’s 550,257 bales (7pc) in excess to previous year corresponding arrivals.
However according to PCGA report seed cotton arrivals in ginning factories of Punjab are 5,723,266 bales up to 15th November which are less to the tune of 363,3

Pakistan High Commissioner in India Salman Bashir has said there is gradual and significant improvement in the economic and trade relations between Pakistan and India although Pakistan’s view and stance on certain political issues are quite clear.

Russian business leaders will visit Bangladesh in December for the first time in a bid to explore the Bangladesh-made apparel sourcing potentiality, industry people said.

Royal Dutch Shell said it plans to increase by more than 20 percent the production capacity of olefins and aromatics at its petrochemicals complex in Singapore, but did not say how much the expansion would cost.
